brew your own beer

I’ve recently started to brew my own beer. My first experience with homebrew was back in college. My friend Ben and his dad started to brew, and I was kind enough to help drink the stuff. They brewed several styles and it was all great, as I recall. If you are a beer lover, I highly recommend brewing your own. Its cheap and easy, and you are rewarded with great beer that is crafted by and for you.

I have a True Brew brewing kit from my local home brew store [www.beernecessities.com]. They have been absolutely great. I started my first batch on christmas eve last year and immediately screwed up. I tossed the yeast in before the wort cooled down. The yeast is what turns the sugars in the wort into alcohol. The wort has to cool to below 78 degrees before the yeast will activate. Anyway, on christmas eve, I called up beer necessities and they were open! The told me that it’d be ok and to just come get more yeast and toss it when it cooled. They were right. My beer turned out great. Since then, I’ve screwed up in a few different ways and those guys have been there to give me advice on how to do it right. If you are a newbie beer brewer like I am, you should find a store like these guys that will help you out. Better yet, use [www.beernecessities.com] and you will get the help that you need to make great beer.
